Post-forming decorative HPL sheet

When heated to 165°C- 177°C ,HPL could be postformed to curve shape under pressure of 750psi. The post forming laminate is applied where a rolled edge desired,such as countertop or tabletop.The rolled edge eliminates seams ,which makes it hard to accumulate dust/stain and prevents substrate from being corroded.Post-form laminates normally ranges from 0.7-1.0mm in thickness and it’s not recommended on gypsum wallboard,concrete walls.

In terms of minimum forming radii,a minimum of 6.4mm inside radius and 9.5mm outside radius surface could be achieved.

1)Could HPL be cut or profiled to any shape required ?
Yes,we could do almost required, including circle,triangle ,cut-outs within the panel,as well as personalized edge profile,such as slide vertical surface and round corner.

2) What are adhesives recommended for bonding ?
Recommended adhesives include solvent or water-based contact cement, white glue (PVA), epoxy, and hot melt glue.

3) How to finish with edges of HPL?
When used outdoors or in humid conditions, edges must be sealed with a waterproof material. Do not use interior grades in humid conditions or in direct sunlight.

4) Could DHPL be printed on both sides?
Yes, both sides could be printed with you designs,which makes perfectly for signage application or some wall panels needs to be redecorated frequently

5)What’s the specification tolerance of HPL?
Leave 1/8” space around CHPL panels thicker than .048” to allow for expansion and contraction.

6) How to store HPL before bonding on substrate?
Panels must be stored horizontally and all components should be conditioned at 70° F to 75° F and 45% to 50% relative humidity for 48 hours prior to assembly.

7)What is LPL(LPL) and its difference from HPL ?
Low pressure laminate may also be called thermally Fused Melamine or melamine board,which needs lower pressure in processing and also much thinner(0.007″) than HPL.

6)What is lifespan of a HPL ?
With standard maintenance , HPL could be long-lasting to 50 years.

7)What are common thickness options for laminate board?
0.7mm-1mm
it could be wrapped to as small as 12″ mounted on curved surface and mounted on curved surface.Back sanded for adhesion and backer sheet needed for balance.Edge sealed recommended for water preventation.

1mm-1.6mm
common choice for most lamination.back sanded for adhesion and backer sheet reqired for balance.Edge banded sealed for water preventation,and requires polishing as well.

1.6mm-2.2mm
could be used for signages and usually framed with epoxy material.Edge banded sealed for water preventation,and requires polishing as well.

8)How to order samples?
·1 Free sample could be requested with size no smaller than 20″*20″.
·File should be provided in format .eps/.pdf/.tif/.psd , with minimum resolution 200dpi in CMYK mode.
·Files would be adjust by our designers and sample lead time would range from 5-14 days.
